Forestville Village Association Annual Christmas Ornament

                                   For Sale   $10.00

Since the founding of the “Village” of Forestville in 1833, the location now occupied by Nuchie’s Restaurant , has always served as a saloon, bar or eating establishment. Two disastrous fires have occurred during these times. The intense heat from the burning of the E.N. Welch Clock Company in 1899 (where Ultimate Company’s parking lot is located) sparked a fire that leveled Sloan’s Saloon.  On Saturday, May 11, 1970, prior to a wedding reception, Johnny’s Restaurant, fell victim to another major fire.

Forestville resident, Barney Kirdzik owned a billiard hall and restaurant in the 1930’s. This was a followed by Johnny’s Grille and Lounge, in 1939. This was renamed Johnny’s Restaurant in 1941 and was owned by Johnny Perfetto.  Upon his death his son, Raymond assumed ownership. After the fire of 1970, Perfetto attempted to establish a pizza style bar, for about two years.  Finding little success, this venture was followed by New Cambridge Inn, featuring the first dinner theater in Bristol.  This existed for about five years in the mid 1970’s.  Dave Pasqualicchio and Nuchie Morocco bought the building in 1976 and established Nuchie’s Restaurant. With the retirement of Morocco, Dave’s brother Mike became his partner in 1979. Nuchie’s has been in business for thirty five years.
