President, Dave Pasqualicchio’s Report and Remarks:
Welcome to all and to all at
home. Vibrant leaves are falling as fast as the FVA calendar
moves to the events and their conclusion. We often ask,
where has the time gone? That is why, it is so important to
take time to enjoy your community and to have fun. Take the
opportunity FVA presents, to attend events or stop by one of
our monthly meetings. It is sure to add excitement to your
evening, offering rewards and sense of accomplishment.
FVA is on the move. Progress is evident
throughout Forestville. The expansion of RT. 72 is starting
to resemble a road. Wow, it is beautiful, a plus for
Forestville.
Lower East Main St. has a new look with many
encouraged property owners enhancing their yards and
businesses. A true sense of pride in the community is
evident.
Tonight marks a first for FVA. A presentation
to local business P& B auto with a Certificate of
Appreciation to owner Rick Rondeau and his son Justin, for
the nice design and plan with their new building and
plantings. A job well done, thank you for the improvement
and beautification of Forestville.
Have you noticed the former Albertelli
property really starting to take shape? Peter Roberge has a
total remodel going on, almost complete, with two new
businesses moving into the location, Allstate Insurance and
Sharon’s K-9 Barkery. Pete also plans to relocate his office
to the brick building in back, enabling Ricci, CPA to rent
his space.
Have you noticed the fine job of renovations, Rick Kerzner,
owner of Emily’s Catering Group, has done with the building
he resided in for five years, on Central St? FVA would like
to invite Rick to the November meeting for his certificate
presentation and a chance for all of us to meet him.
Have you noticed Central Square has some interesting
characters stalking around? The third annual Scarecrow
contest has begun. This has become a popular drive by with
many competitive, creative pieces for the judges to decide
on the category winners. This year’s contest is chaired by
Joan Trafford and Marsha Lockhart. Thank you.
Tonight’s new faces in the crowd, Patricia
Gaudreau, Judy Turcot and Mary Dickau; Welcome! As always,
thanks to the regulars, who employ themselves to the FVA
work force? We could not run responsibly without you.
Forestville Village
Association’s by laws require the nomination of officers for
President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary each
year. At the November monthly meeting elections will be
held.

there always is next year.

if we want membership listed on the website. Businesses?
Possibly to encourage others to sign up? Also there is a
need for pictures for the photo gallery. Great job, Paul!
• Christine Levesque brought to attention to
FVA if we want to continue with FVA 2009 scholarship, now is
the time to check with the Board of Education officials. All
in favor, Christine will follow necessary procedures. Thank
you Christine!

Beautification
Good comments are heard all over town for
general up keep of Forestville and keeping litter down to a
minimum increases beauty. Please encourage others to clean
and maintain their property. Increase awareness. It is a
great time of the year to set seasonal displays. Enjoy the
season of fall.
Please notify Dave of properties deserving of Beautification
notice.
The center island looks nice, thanks to Dave
and Central Square Park looks great, thank you Mark Camden.

will sell for $1.00, an easy sell, even in our present
economy.
Quinlan Park Project
The committee was represented by Paul
Kowalczyk. The general discussion was about the initial plan
we had as being is too costly and to simplify the plan.
FVA would like to revise and
rethink where we are going with this. The outcome of the
meeting was voted to award the project coordinators $25,000,
to begin upgrading Quinlan and to simplify scope of plan.
Since Rob, Marguerite and Bob were not available at the
meeting, it was unclear if they will continue to move the
project forward. More discussion will be set up.
