President, Dave Pasqualicchio Report: Welcome To The Summer Luncheon Meeting…Nuchies appreciates what you people do for Forestville. You make us look good! The beautification of our village would not be where it is if not for the funds you provide. Thank You!
Summer Break… August is here! It will be a “quick hit” like them all. Enjoy every day! If you buy a six pack….drink them all! If you buy a bottle….drink the whole darn bottle! (they can be alcohol free).
Summer Concert… Is being held on July 24th on the grounds of Ultimate Companies. This years’ band will be “Sick Since Sunday”. The event is sponsored in part by the F.V.A. and the City Concert Series. Hot Summer Fun for All!
Soliciting Groups… For pasta/comedy/auction night on Oct. 25th @ 6pm. A fun night of laughs and good food. Tickets will be available soon and are $12 per person, with groups of 10 for $100. Look for the promotional banner that will soon be posted outside of Nuchies Restaurant. If you have any items that you feel can be auctioned off to help raise monies on that night, please put them aside, or drop them off at Nuchies.
Halfway Point…Of the 2018 F.V.A. Calendar Season. My, my….where has the past 17 years gone. We will continue to move onward and upward with the focus on beautifying our village!
See You In September… Fall is arguably the nicest season of all! There are pumpkins, fairs, pies and changing of the leaves.

City Village Report: City Councilors – No Report (Absent due to summer recess) First Deputy, Leo Bonola (Remarks) – Not much going on. It has been a lazy, hot summer. The flowers look great! Thanks Dave for the luncheon! Monthly Drawing Winner: No drawing this month.
Vice President, Rick Leach: (fearless leader) – Thank you for all the cards, calls and letters with your concern and well wishes for Gail. It will be a long and difficult road to recovery. She has up and down days. Thank you for the luncheon Dave!
John Gianoni (Pine Lake Commissioner, FLL) – No Report. Results of the Fishing Derby will be provided at the September meeting.
Lt. Rich Guerrera (Community relations officer) – No Report – Presidents Notes: Lt. Guerrera is always keeping membership up to date on PD happenings and programs. He provides current news and take’s member questions and concerns very seriously, all to promote and better the PD and the city they serve.
Bruce Barton (Post 209) – Checkout Nutmeg TV for expanded coverage of “Veterans Corner”. Even though we are on summer break, we are always taking new members.
Correspondence Report: Maryellen Holden - Welcome Note Sent – To Fr. Dietrich at St. Matthew Church - Get Well Card Sent – To Gail Leach - Setting the record straight…..For those who think I failed to follow through with my commitment to the Duck Race, I was attending a function, along with 12 students, in support of a family dealing with the affects for Brain Tumors. Presidents Notes: The Day of the Duck Race is just not the same without “Our” Waddles.
Treasurer Report: Mary Jane Lindquist – All accounts are in good standing. All monthly reports are available at Nuchies. - Some concerns about the price tag for maintaining Center Square. However, the property looks nice!
Membership 2018: Mary Jane Lindquist – Would like to see more support from residents in Forestville. Your financial contribution is so important to the maintenance of Forestville and the many groups we support. Current Totals: Family – 67, Business – 49.
Beautification: - The flower boxes on the bridge look great! - Take a peek around your property. Every little bit helps.
Historical Markers: Historical Marker #5: O’Brien Funeral Home – Full write up is in process. Looking for fall install. Rex Hamilton Marker: Will be placed in the Central Square Island Bed.
Fundraising 2018: Pasta Dinner Comedy Auction – Thursday October 25th. Tickets will be available soon.
2018 Christmas Ornament - There seems to be good interest to continue with ornament #15. Now, what should we do? Maybe Rick Fitzsimons would have some suggestions.
