President’s Report (John J. Gianoni):
-
I called Dave for the key to the box on the green, for the water timer. He did not have it, so the lock needs to be cut off and replaced.
-
Penny Critchley, who was handling the process of getting bids on maintaining the green, came back to membership with 6 quotes. Membership voted and Dukes Lawn Maintenance won the vote. Penny will proceed with them. Great job Penny!
City Village Report:
Leo Bonola, First Deputy: – (a) Thank you to all the people in the past that ran and helped out at the Forestville Village Golf Tournament. (b) Leo had a picture of the WWII boards to show everyone and it was put on hold.
Rick Leach, Vice President: - The City of Bristol has been doing some clean up at Quinlan Park.
John Gianoni, Pine Lake: – Fundraising is slow for the derby, but we will be alright. The Derby will be held on Saturday, May 7th. I met with Josh (Superintendent of Parks & Rec.) a couple times. Pine Lake Committee members are going to help clean the area and the city will remove the debris. The city is restarting work on the rope course.
Christine Levesque, F.V.A. Scholarship – Scholarships are out in the schools. Last day to return them is 3/18. Everyone suggested that Dave hand it out to the recipient.
Bruce Barton, American Legion Post 209: – The Memorial Day Parade is Sunday, May 29th, with a rain date of May 30th. The Fishing Derby will be held on May 14th. Thank you F.V.A. for your $100 donation. We are also looking for a place for our Pig Roast.
